Are you fucking retarded or something?  Gymnastics is a COMPETITIVE SPORT that requires COMPETING.   When you’re COMPETING, in a COMPETITION, you do YOUR BEST to out perform your competitors AND do you best for the TEAM.  In the case of the Olympics, you represent the BEST OF THE BEST for your COUNTRY and if competing again is what’s best for the TEAM and COUNTRY, then so be it. Would you ask the Boston Red Sox or perhaps the New York Yankees to refuse to play the world series, or championships, because they should LET other teams play or win.  Are you fucking serious?  You REALLY think a GYMNAST should not compete in gymnastics events, because you think it’s selfish?  That’s the most retarded fucking thing I ever heard. Should a world championship team in the NBA playoffs take a dive and intentionally miss the winning shot and LET the other team win because that team never won a championship game? Others can and will have their chances when they can DO BETTER than Nastia, Alicia and Shawn.  That’s how it works..  These girls INSPIRE others to DO BETTER. Is it “SELFISH” of them to compete for their fans that love them? Is it “SELFISH” of them to endure pain and train tirelessly day and night, seven days a week? Is it “SELFISH” of them to commit themselves entirely to a sport they love? Nonetheless, I am delighted that Alicia Sacramone is competing again since she is from my home state and I also LOVE Nastia, so.. pffftt to you.
